Description

Heave Ho, a physics-based local multiplayer adventure across an impossibly wide ravine, tasks up to four players with a simple goal – don’t fall to your death! Players will use their own two hands and the outstretched grip of their friends to grapple across each level on their way to victory. Grab one another’s hands, climb across dangling bodies, and swing your pals to safety in a wobbly, dangly mass of limbs. Customize your character with all manner of stylish accessories and zany accouterment in a vain attempt to remember who you are and which of your hands is the only thing between you and the plummet of doom. The game is on its way to a Summer 2019 launch on Nintendo Switch and Steam.

History

MOTHER RUSSIA BLEEDS

Frédéric Coispeau (Game Designer) and Alexandre Muttoni (Graphic Designer) met in 2013. Sharing the desire to make their own game, they will team up with Florian Reneau (Programmer) to found Le Cartel Studio and thus carry out their project. It is during the E3 2015 and the Sony conference that the studio will be known with the announcement of their first game: MOTHER RUSSIA BLEEDS, ultra violent beat'em up retro in Pixel art published by Devolver Digital. The game will be released in 2016 on PC / PS4, then in 2018 on Switch.

HEAVE HO

Florian Reneau will hand over his position as a programmer to Florence Noé in the studio and in February 2018 (two years after the release of MOTHER RUSSIA BLEEDS), Le Cartel team will participate in the URBAN JAM. Organized jointly by Est Ensemble, MediaLab 93 and The Beautiful Games, this Game Jam has brought together artists from urban cultures and teams of developers around the creation of games in 48h on the theme of the urban culture. Then the Cartel team will launch on the specific theme of "Street Workout", a sport practice halfway between gymnastics and bodybuilding that mixes figures of strength, flexibility and balance. Practiced generally outdoors, this inclusive hobby is often practiced collectively. 48 hours later, the prototype "HEAVE HO" was born, and after a year and a half of development, it is ready to be announced!
